We've recently experienced river floods several times within 2 months and our basement did get some water in it (we have sump pumps that take most of it out). The humidity in our basement shot up and we realized we needed a dehumidifier to help keep mold at bay on the wood ceiling (the floors and walls are cement). This summer we were in the direct path of smoke from the Cameron Peak fire in Colorado, so I used my Dylos DC-1700 air quality monitor to test the HPA300' effectiveness. I have been using this unit for the last three months in a 27 travel trailer that is stored for the winter outside. Unit was easy to set up and set for desired humidity level. Empty this about once each week. Sucks out an amazing amount of water in one weeks time. Easy to empty and just push the water catcher back in and it starts back up automatically. I am satisfied with this purchase. My bathroom doesn't have a working fan for humidity. This humidifier works perfectly. It absorbs it while not being too loud. Easy to use since it already comes assemble. It has a timer if you don't want it to be on the whole day. The light makes it cute

We have tried bargain varieties of furnace filters over the years. Some of the cheaper ones just don't seem to hold their shape and do the job. I try to change our filters monthly, so I don't want to spend more than necessary to get the job done. Filtrete filters hold their shape and obviously filter out dust and pet dander. These are the perfect furnace filters for my home. I have pets, and too high of a MERV strains my unit. But these are perfect for my needs, and I change them out monthly.

Note: The instruction book says it should be situated 15 inches from anything (like a wall) on all sides. This filter is expensive but worth the money. I did research and it' rated very high and certified to remove the most particles out of the air. I bought a $300 Honeywell rated as HEPA but there are various grades and this unit filters out much smaller particle sizes. I run it full time in our bedroom and it works great. This whole house air purifier works great and is most reasonably-priced of all kinds that I looked at. I keep it set on Auto, so it runs on its lowest setting and automatically increases as it detects impurities or odors in the air. Also, it has 5 filters, only one of which needs replacing annually and the rest are washable. The machine also tells you when the filters need to be cleaned!
I bought two smaller purifiers (Aroeve) for my bedroom/bathroom. They worked so well I bought AROEVE Air Purifier for large room. Within an hour the light went from red to green and the air smells better. This purifier covers 1095 sq ft. My house is 940 sq so it covers my entire house. It was easy to setup an is a great value. This dehumidifier works great. It really pulls a lot of water. The bucket portion is easy to empty and holds a lot of water. It keeps the room at the humidity level set and it doesn't fluctuate much at all. Is has an ability to run a standard garden hose as well and that is a nice feature as long as the water is running downhill. I purchased these about one year ago for a new house. They were on sale and a great price for two small air purifiers. They worked right out of the box, super easy to use, and pull a lot of dust and pet hair out of the air. I have a large dog and three cats so it can be quite dusty. They have multiple modes to make them quieter. I keep them running pretty much 24/7 in my small office and living room. Three weeks in and we couldn't be happier with this filter. Quiet and effective. If it detects contaminants the light turns red and the fan kicks up to high, which is a bit loud (when set to auto), but it doesn't run high for long.We have a woodstove for heat, which creates a lot of dust. This has cut it back a lot, and has cut the amount of dusting I have to do overall.We're both breathing easier, and its cut down on the smell of our 2 large house dogs.
My boyfriends shower is always very humid and because of that mold easily grows in it. Since he does not have a screen for his bathroom window, I decided to get him a dehumidifier. Firstly, it is very light and the cables can be neatly folded at the back of the machine keeping it neat. I love the touch screen buttons and the timer setting. I bought one of these because my gun safe isn't airtight and had humidity that was building up inside which caused my firearms to become lightly rusted. Being in the south and having a home on a crawlspace over clay loam our home naturally has high humidity. Without help it approaches 60% which is terrible for building materials causing things to get soft, warped, and moldy. Bought one of these in November 2023 and a second one shortly afterwards. Controls are conveniently placed on top where you can easily see them. We programmed the one in our bedroom to run on low at night so it doesn't wake us. I don't pay a lot of attention to the sensors and I am not sure how accurate they are. The proof for me is the debris I vacuum off the unit' filters (including the HEPA) once a month, which is considerable. I could really tell the difference in air quality after using it

I bought this after replacing a dehumidifier that stopped working. Been using this GE dehumidifier for a bit over a week and find it works better then my other one that died. Its super quiet as well! Its energy efficient also so saves electricity. Most dehumidifiers are obnoxiously loud and dont work as efficiently as this one. Im glad I listened to a friend and bought this particular model. Energy efficiency , similar to wattage, can be misleading. This Frigidaire tested at full and continuous mode, used a little more energy than most of it' competitors. However it was found when used at a more typical setting, maybe 45%, rather than continuous. This machine now used less energy then it' competitors.
